WSU @ Watson 2012

The Program will be well represented at the 2012 Thomas R. Watson Conference  at the University of Louisville by three PhD candidates:

  • Whitney Hardin will present a talk entitled “Virtuosity and the Work of Writing” as part of the panel “LANGUAGE/ WRITERS/ TRANSACTIONS: Composition in the Age of Cognitive Capitalism”;
  • Michael McGinnis will present a talk entitled “Consuming Rhetoric: Buying In to Post-Public Agency” as part of the panel “Public Rhetorics/Rhetorics of the Public: Economies, Place, Empire”; and
  • Clay Walker will present a talk entitled “Re-Situating Models of Practice in Cognitive, Biological, and Sociocultural Ecologies” as part of the panel “Defining Composition: Ecologies, Economies, Collections.”
