Workshop on “The Philosophy and Practice of Engagement in Online Environments” (09/23/15)

Our second workshop of the Fall, on the topic of engagement in online environments, will be held from 4-5 PM on Wednesday, September 23 in room #9304, and will be facilitated by faculty member Lori Errico-Seaman. Research into electronic pedagogy has found that students are most engaged in their courses when multiple avenues for participation are available. With increasing numbers of classes being offered online and more and more opportunities for utilizing online platforms within traditional classroom settings available, instructors may wonder how to most effectively use these new technologies. In this workshop, participants will discuss research and share ideas about how to use Blackboard and other online tools to engage students with the course material, each other, and the instructor.
